Innovation and Tech Talent Pathway
What is this program?
The SINP Innovation and Tech Talent Pathway is Saskatchewan's expedited stream for software developers, data scientists, cybersecurity professionals, and other tech workers. It's designed to compete with other provinces (Ontario, BC) for global tech talent. Like the Employment Offer stream, you need a permanent SK job offer — but in an eligible tech NOC. Processing is faster than the general streams.
Who is it for?
- You're a tech professional — software developer, data scientist, cybersecurity analyst, web designer, or similar tech NOC
- You have a permanent, full-time job offer from a Saskatchewan tech employer
- Your work experience is in the same tech occupation
- Your language is at CLB 4 minimum
- You intend to live and work in Saskatchewan
What does it lead to?
Provincial nomination → permanent residence via federal application. Saskatchewan currently processes this pathway in about 2 weeks; the federal step after nomination currently takes about 13 months (about 6 if you go through Express Entry). $500 application fee.
Primary requirements
- Permanent, full-time job offer from a Saskatchewan employer in an eligible tech NOC (developers, data scientists, network engineers, security analysts, technical sales, etc.).
- 1 year of paid work experience in the same tech occupation within the last 10 years.
- Language at CLB 4 minimum (test less than 2 years old).
- Score at least 60 of 100 on the SINP point assessment grid.
- ECA for foreign degrees.
- $500 application fee.
