Saskatchewan Experience — Students Stream

What is this program?

The SINP Saskatchewan Experience — Students stream is for international graduates of Saskatchewan post-secondary institutions who have built work experience in the province. It's the SK parallel to Ontario's Master's and PhD graduate streams — except SK requires that you've also worked here after graduating, not just studied. The premise: you've already invested years in SK, the province wants to keep you.

Who is it for?

• You're an international graduate of a Saskatchewan post-secondary institution
• You've worked in Saskatchewan in your intended occupation after graduating
• Your job is in NOC TEER 0, 1, 2, or 3 (or specific TEER 4 occupations recognised by SINP)
• Your language is at CLB 4 minimum (CLB 7 if your degree is in a regulated occupation)
• You intend to keep living and working in Saskatchewan

What does it lead to?

Provincial nomination → federal permanent residence application. Saskatchewan currently processes this stream in about 2 weeks; the federal step after nomination currently takes about 13 months (IRCC's estimate).

Primary requirements

• Completed a credential (certificate, diploma, undergraduate, or graduate degree) from a Saskatchewan public or private post-secondary institution.
• At least 6 months of paid work experience in Saskatchewan in your intended occupation (or in a related field on a Post-Graduation Work Permit).
• A current Post-Graduation Work Permit (PGWP) at the time of application.
• Job in NOC TEER 0–3 or specific TEER 4 occupations.
• Language at CLB 4 minimum (CLB 7 for regulated occupations).
• Score at least 60 on the SINP point assessment grid.
• $500 application fee.

What you'll need to apply

• Saskatchewan post-secondary credential + transcript
• Current Post-Graduation Work Permit
• Employer reference letters covering your SK work experience
• Pay stubs and T4s as backup proof of paid work
• Language test results within 2 years
• Valid passport
