What is this program?
The NBPNP Strategic Initiative Stream is francophone-targeted — built around New Brunswick's status as Canada's only officially bilingual province. The defining gate is French at CLB 7+ via TEF Canada or TCF Canada. Three sub-pathways: Francophone Workers (NB job + NB residency or recruitment-mission offer), NB Francophone Priorities (NB study completion or ImmigrationNB Letter of Interest), and Francophones Working Remotely (12 months NB residency while remote-working for a non-Quebec Canadian employer).
Who is it for?
- You speak French at CLB 7+ in all 4 abilities (TEF Canada or TCF Canada)
- You're at least 19 years old
- You have one of the qualifying NB connections: a job, NB study completion, GNB recruitment offer, or 12 months NB residence while remote-working
- You can score 65+ on NBPNP's selection factor grid
- You intend to live and work in NB permanently
What does it lead to?
Provincial nomination from New Brunswick; separate federal PR application follows. Strategic Initiative often moves faster than the general English-stream NBPNP routes — francophone shortage is a structural priority for the province.
Primary requirements
- French at CLB 7+ in all four abilities (TEF Canada or TCF Canada).
- Age 19+.
- Minimum 65 / 100 on NBPNP selection factor grid.
- One of: (1) NB job offer + NB residency or GNB recruitment, (2) NB study + Letter of Interest, (3) 12 months NB residence while remote-working for a non-Quebec Canadian employer.
- Canadian high school diploma or foreign equivalent.
- Federal minimum proof of funds (or exemption).
- Intent to settle permanently in NB.
