Career Employment Pathway
What is this program?
The Career Employment Pathway is the MPNP's main route for graduates of Manitoba post-secondary programs. You must have graduated from a designated Manitoba institution within the past 3 years, have a full-time job offer from a Manitoba employer in an in-demand occupation, and currently be working full-time in Manitoba on a valid post-graduation work permit. CLB 7 is the minimum language threshold. Bachelor's holders get more flexibility: any TEER 0-3 in-demand occupation works, no field-of-study match required.
Who is it for?
- You graduated from a designated Manitoba post-secondary program within the last 3 years
- You're currently working in Manitoba on a valid post-graduation work permit
- You have a full-time job offer (≥1 year contract) from a Manitoba employer in an in-demand occupation
- Your language ability is CLB 7+
- You intend to stay in Manitoba
What does it lead to?
Provincial nomination from Manitoba; separate federal PR application follows. Manitoba's own step currently runs more than 6 months (its official notice); the federal step after nomination currently takes about 13 months. The unique advantage is that this stream is purpose-built for Manitoba graduates — your studies + work history in MB are exactly what the criteria are designed to reward.

How we keep this page current
- Hourly source check. A scheduled job checks the official source page above every hour and looks for changes.
- Change alert. When the page changes, we record it and review the program rules again.
- Human review.A person checks the change, updates this page if needed, and updates the “Page last edited” date.
- Limits. Some government pages are harder to check automatically. The official source link is still the final source. Open it before you act on anything important.
- Attribution. We write the summary above in our own words from the official government source. Short quotes used for comparison fall under fair dealing under the Canadian Copyright Act. Crown copyright in the underlying government text stays with His Majesty the King in Right of Canada and the province or territory — the government page remains the official version.
