NLPNP International Graduate Category
What is this program?
The NLPNP International Graduate Category is the pathway for foreign students who completed a post-secondary program at a Newfoundland & Labrador DLI. You need a valid PGWP (with at least 4 months remaining) and a full-time NL job offer in your field of study. TEER 0-3 offers don't require an NLPNP-specific language test; TEER 4 in-demand offers need CLB 4+.

- You have a permanent NL job offer (≥30 hr/wk)
- Your job is in TEER 0–3, OR TEER 4 in-demand with CLB 4+
- Your job relates to your field of study (with exceptions for local NL graduates)
What does it lead to?
Provincial nomination from Newfoundland & Labrador tied to your NL employer; separate federal PR application follows. Atlantic immigration tends to move faster than ON or BC for routine cases.
Primary requirements
- Valid Post-Graduation Work Permit with 4+ months remaining.
- Completed a post-secondary program at an NL DLI.
- Full-time NL job offer (≥30 hr/wk) from an eligible NL employer, lasting 1+ year with reasonable expectation of extension.
- Job in TEER 0, 1, 2, or 3 — or TEER 4 in-demand with CLB 4+ language proficiency.
- Job relates to field of study (exceptions for NL local graduates).
- Compensation is salary or hourly wage meeting NL employment standards + prevailing wage.
- Age 21–59.
- Out-of-province graduates: must work in NL for 1+ year before applying.
- Sufficient settlement funds; ownership stake in employer ≤10%.
