Skilled Worker and Critical Impact Worker Streams (Yukon Nominee Program)
What is this program?
The Yukon Nominee Program Skilled Worker stream is for foreign workers with a full-time Yukon job offer in a TEER 0–3 occupation. It's employer-driven — the Yukon employer applies on the worker's behalf after a competitive Expression of Interest scoring process. Yukon's 2026 nomination cap is 282 nominations total across all 3 streams, so EOI competition is real.
Who is it for?
- You have a permanent full-time Yukon job offer in TEER 0, 1, 2, or 3
- You have at least 12 months of relevant work experience
- You have at least a high school diploma + education appropriate to the TEER
- Your language ability is CLB 6+ (TEER 0/1) or CLB 5+ (TEER 2/3)
- You intend to live in Yukon permanently
What does it lead to?
Provincial nomination from Yukon; you then apply to IRCC for permanent residency within 6 months. The federal step after nomination currently takes about 13 months (about 6 via Express Entry); Yukon publishes no time for its own step. Yukon has limited annual nomination capacity — EOI score relative to other candidates matters.
Primary requirements
- Full-time job offer from a Yukon employer in a TEER 0–3 occupation.
- Yukon employer must be a Canadian citizen / PR, business operating 1+ year, registered with Yukon Corporate Registry.
- Employer must have advertised the position in Canada for 4+ weeks in at least 3 places (Canada Job Bank + 2 local).
- Employer pays at least the Yukon median wage for the NOC.
- 12+ months of relevant work experience.
- High school diploma + education appropriate to the TEER.
- CLB 6 for TEER 0/1, CLB 5 for TEER 2/3 (designated testing agency, <2 years old).
- Intent to permanently reside in Yukon.
- Tri-Partite Agreement signed between Yukon, employer, and nominee.
