Critical Impact Worker Stream (Yukon Nominee Program)
What is this program?
The Yukon Nominee Program Critical Impact Worker stream is for foreign workers with a full-time Yukon job offer in a TEER 4–5 (entry-level) occupation. Unlike most PNPs that focus on TEER 0–3, this stream specifically targets entry-level roles where Yukon has labour shortages — common pathway for hospitality, retail, and support workers. The trade-off: employer obligations are higher (housing must be ensured), and the 2026 nomination cap is shared with the other YNP streams.

Primary requirements
- Full-time job offer from a Yukon employer in TEER 4 or 5.
- Yukon employer must meet program eligibility (citizenship/PR, 1+ year business, registered, advertised position).
- Employer must ensure suitable housing for the nominee.
- Employer not in an excluded business type (B&Bs <10 rooms, hobby farms, taxis, real estate, etc.).
- 6+ months of relevant work experience.
- High school diploma.
- CLB 4+ in all 4 abilities (designated test, <2 years old).
- Intent to permanently reside in Yukon.
