OINP Employer Job Offer: International Student stream
Ontario closed this stream to new applicants on June 26, 2026, as part of a redesign of its immigration program. If you already applied, your application is still being assessed under the rules that applied when you sent it. What is this program?
OINP Employer Job Offer: International Student stream is for recent graduates of Canadian colleges and universities who've been offered a permanent job in Ontario. Same structure as the Foreign Worker stream above, but the entry requirement is a recent Canadian credential instead of foreign work history. If you studied at an Ontario school and got a job offer here, this is likely your route.
Who is it for?
- You're an international student who graduated from a publicly funded Canadian college or university in the last 2 years
- You completed a degree, diploma, or trade certificate of at least 2 years
- You have a permanent, full-time Ontario job offer in a TEER 0, 1, 2, or 3 occupation
- You're either currently in Ontario or have been here recently
What does it lead to?
Provincial nomination, then permanent residence via a federal application. The federal step after nomination currently takes about 13 months (IRCC's estimate) — Ontario's own step comes first.
Primary requirements
- Recent graduation (within 2 years) from a publicly funded Canadian college or university — at least 2 years of full-time study.
- Permanent, full-time job offer from an Ontario employer in NOC TEER 0, 1, 2, or 3.
- Job offer must be at prevailing wage and match your education.
- Language: CLB 5 for TEER 0/1; CLB 4 for TEER 2/3.
- Currently legally in Ontario (or recently were) and authorised to work.

- Transcript and proof of full-time study
- Job-offer letter from the Ontario employer
- Language test results
- Current Canadian study or work permit
- Passport, medical, police certificates
